The opening of the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament began on a high note with a special visit from the brilliant students of Mampong Senior High School for the Deaf. Their presence brought fresh energy to the House and set a powerful tone for the meeting ahead.

Together with colleagues Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, Fred Agbenyo, Eric Edem Agbana, and Hon. Sheila Kyei, we engaged the students on the role of Parliament, with a focus on how a bill becomes law, a moment of deep learning and inspiration for all.

This visit also served as a strong reminder of the need to ensure our laws truly serve every Ghanaian, including members of the Deaf community who often lack full access to civic participation.

Sincere thanks to the Department of Public Engagement and the Rt. Hon. Speaker for making such meaningful encounters possible. The journey toward a more inclusive Ghana is ongoing and everyone has a role to play.
