Ghana is proudly participating in the 83rd Session of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union (APU), currently underway in the vibrant city of Rabat, Morocco. This high level gathering brings together Parliamentary leaders from across the continent to deliberate on key issues shaping Africa’s governance, development, and unity.
The Ghanaian delegation was led by the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Andrew Amoako Asiamah. Accompanying him are Members of Parliament Hon. Shirley Kyei, Hon. Bede Ziedeng, Hon. Oti Bless, Hon. Francis Xavier Sosu, and Hon. Samuel Awuku, representing the Akuapem North Constituency.

Throughout this three day session, participants engaged on critical themes including the deepening of democratic governance, the advancement of intra African trade, and the strengthening of inter Parliamentary cooperation to drive the continent’s progress.
Representing both Ghana and the people of Okuapeman on such a significant continental platform is a moment of great pride. The session not only reinforces the shared aspirations of African nations but also affirms Ghana’s ongoing commitment to regional unity and inclusive development.
