A dream long cherished by the Akuapem North constituency has finally become a reality.
By God’s grace, the long-awaited project at Akropong Presbyterian College of Education is now complete a milestone that will serve not only the college community but also future generations of young athletes and students across the area.

Standing on the fresh turf of the newly constructed facility, Hon. Samuel Awuku beamed with pride as he surveyed what months of dedication and collaboration had produced. For him, this project was more than just a sports field, it was a testament to what focused leadership can achieve.

The successful completion of this project would not have been possible without the support of key stakeholders. Hon. Awuku expressed profound gratitude to Okuapehene, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, and Nananom for their blessings and guidance throughout the journey.

He also extended heartfelt appreciation to the Presbyterian Church and the College leadership for their partnership and unwavering commitment to providing quality infrastructure for students.

Special recognition went to NLA, KGL Foundation, and Wembley Construction whose financial and technical support turned this vision into reality. “Your partnership made this possible,” Hon. Awuku acknowledged.

A quick but important reminder: the Presbyterian colours are red, white, and blue reflecting the Church’s values and youth aspirations, and not politics. The pitch stands as a symbol of unity, community development, and investment in our young people.

Addressing any misconceptions, Hon. Awuku emphasized that development comes in many forms. “This pitch did not take away other obligations or commitments as purported,” he clarified. “Rather, it reflects another way we can bring progress to our communities through sports, recreation, and holistic youth development.”

For the students and youth of Akropong, this facility means more than just a place to play. It represents opportunity a safe space to nurture talent, build character, and foster community pride.

The commissioning of the Akropong Presbyterian College of Education sports pitch marks another promise kept and a powerful reminder that true development touches every aspect of community life: education, health, infrastructure, and now, sports and recreation.
