Scenes of joy, gratitude, and hard-earned recognition filled the air this year as the Akuapem North Constituency came together to celebrate its hardworking farmers on the annual Farmers’ Day celebration.

Hon. Samuel Awuku joined the festivities to honor the men and women who toil daily to put food on our tables and drive the local agricultural economy. The event was a vibrant showcase of community spirit, with farmers from across the constituency gathering to celebrate their achievements.

From cassava and maize farmers to poultry keepers and vegetable growers, each farmer present had a story of resilience to tell. Hon. Awuku took time to interact with them, listening to their challenges and commending their unwavering dedication to feeding the nation.

“Ayekoo to all our Farmers!” Hon. Awuku proclaimed, using the traditional Ghanaian expression of praise and recognition. He reiterated his commitment to supporting agricultural development in Akuapem North through policies and programs that empower farmers with resources, training, and access to markets.

The celebration was not just about awards, it was a reminder that the backbone of our communities lies in the hands of those who cultivate the land. As the sun set on another successful Farmers’ Day, one message rang clear: Akuapem North salutes its farmers, today and every day.
